Introduction to Coaching for Leaders
In this practical and interactive course, you will gain the groundwork necessary to practice a “coach-approach” with members of your team. Learn to tame the “advice monster” and instead work to build your team’s capacity to solve-problems and take action themselves. This course uses a simple framework you can easily apply back on the job.
Who is this course for?
- This session is intended for formal and informal leaders, including supervisors, clinical leaders, managers, directors, and individuals who lead projects, initiatives, or teams without direct supervisory responsibility.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Determine when to use a coach-approach with members of your team
- Shift out of the role of advice-giver and problem-solver and support your team in developing their own confidence and problem-solving skills
- Become versed in a “coach approach” aimed at holding those you lead capable
- Learn and apply a practical coaching framework to increase focus, engagement, and impact
