Finance in Practice

The Finance in Practice course covers concepts in hospital funding, capital finance, procurement, and accounts payable with a focus on how you’ll typically interact with these departments. The course has a financial lens and the aim of empowering leaders to be more efficient and effective in fulfilling their roles as financial stewards at HHS.

 

Who is this course for?

  • HHS staff who lead Clinical & Non Clinical Healthcare Teams who submit capital requests, eRTPs, and approve invoices for payment.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Develop practical skills in completing and submitting internal submissions for capital funding and purchase requests for products or services as well as the payment of invoices.
  • Learn about what the principles are that guide these functions and why they are important.
