Engaging in Difficult Conversations for Leaders

Conflict is a natural part of life and can have both positive and negative impacts. Having the skills to manage workplace conflict effectively is vital to success. This interactive workshop provides practical strategies for responding to conflict in the workplace, and will help transform conversations, attitudes, behaviour and outcomes with the use of case scenarios.

Who is this course for?

  • This session is intended for formal leaders, (e.g., clinical leaders, managers, directors, VPs, physician leaders, heads of service and others with direct reports). Staff who are not currently in leadership roles are encouraged to explore alternative professional development opportunities available through the CFPD.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand conflict style;
  • Face difficult conversations and conflict with greater confidence; and,
  • Develop and use effective strategies to resolve conflict in the workplace.
