Communicating Change: Minimize Resistance, Maximize Engagement
Resistance to change is an inevitable but challenging part of any change project. In this course you’ll learn about why change is so hard, and what you can do to maximize the engagement of your team.
We will focus on communication techniques and sources of influence you can use to manage resistance and get your team on board. Come prepared with your change in mind – there will be opportunities to apply what you’re learning directly to your change project.
Who is this course for?
This course is open to all HHS staff who lead Clinical and Non-Clinical Healthcare teams.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Be more familiar with tools and strategies that they can apply to see increased engagement and less resistance when implementing change projects at HHS
- Directly apply the change management strategies to their change project
- Be able to consider which communications methods make sense for their team, and how best to use them
- Communicate their change to their team using a variety of methods by communicate more transparently, utilizing different forms of influence, with empathy, and creating more opportunities for dialogue and collaboration
