Accountability Conversations: A Primer for Leaders
Have you ever avoided an accountability conversation because you were afraid it would damage the relationship? This course provides basic skills that can help you navigate accountability conversations in safe and effective ways. We present strategies that will help you get to dialogue, identify the real problems underpinning behavioural issues, and collaboratively identify solutions that work for everyone.
Recommended for all leaders, including informal leaders, and physicians who have already taken Engaging in Difficult Conversations OR Crucial Conversations.

- Prerequisite: Engaging in Difficult Conversations OR Crucial Conversations courses
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Use the 6 sources of influence to understand why problems may be occurring and how to address them
- Ask questions that will help to diagnose issues and work towards their resolution
- Begin accountability conversations in an open and curious way
- Understand the difference between an accountability conversation and performance management
