CQI #5: How Do You Use an A3?
Make solving problems less challenging! This session will teach you how to use the A3 template and scientific thinking to bring your team together to better understand problems and make improvements.

Who is this course for?
This course is open to all staff, physicians, and volunteers.
This course should only be participated in once courses CQI #1: Overview of CQI & CQI #2: What is A3 Thinking, have been completed. Additionally, it is recommended to only take this course once CQI Huddles are actively occurring on your unit and the team has identified the need for an A3 opportunity.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will:
- Apply A3 thinking to an opportunity for improvement
- Use the A3 tool to guide and communicate an A3 improvement project
- Understand the value of implementing change in cycles of improvement
Pre-Work:
Please bring an example of an A3 improvement project that you would like to examine using the A3 template.
Once registered you will receive a “Participant Worksheet” attached to the emailed meeting invite, please have this printed or available electronically.
