Where can I learn about programs offered through the Hamilton Health Sciences Centre for People Development?

Who may register for programs?
Programs are open to Hamilton Health Sciences Staff and Physicians. Individuals from outside of Hamilton Health Sciences are welcome to register for programs, unless otherwise noted in the program information. Specific target audiences are identified in the course overview for each learning event
What if a program offering is full?
In many cases, programs are repeated throughout the year. Register early to avoid disappointment.
I registered for a program and can no longer attend. Can I withdraw and get a refund?
Withdrawals are permitted up to 14 days before the first day of each program. Requests for refunds must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Withdrawals after that date will be assessed a withdrawal fee as follows:
In order to avoid cancellation fees, registrants are encouraged to transfer their registration to another person. To make arrangements, please contact email@example.com
I registered for a program and can no longer attend. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
To transfer your registration to another person, email your name, the name of the program and the name of the individual taking your place to firstname.lastname@example.org before the first day of the program. Those transferring their registration are responsible for any transfer of funds associated with this change.
How will I know if a Centre for People Development program offering has been cancelled, e.g., as a result of inclement weather?
Hamilton Health Sciences reserves the right to cancel learning events. Registrants will be notified at the earliest possible date in the event of a cancellation.
In the event that weather conditions result in the cancellation of a program, this information will be communicated. Watch your email for news about all weather related cancellations.
PLEASE NOTE: Program registration fees for events cancelled by Hamilton Health Sciences will be refunded, however Hamilton Health Sciences is not liable for any loss, damages or other expenses that such cancellations may cause.
When is payment due?

Is funding available for me to participate in learning events?
Funding may be available.
Professional organizations may offer funding for continuing education. Consult your professional organization for details.
Funding for Allied Health Professionals is available through the Allied Health Professional Development Fund (AHPDF). Click HERE for details.

Is parking available?
Prior to the start of each program you will receive key information about the program, including information about parking.

Prior to the start of each program, you will receive key information about the program, including details about meals.
What should I wear?
Unless otherwise noted in the program information, business casual attire is appropriate.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Will I receive continuing education credits for attending?
Many of our programs have been approved for credits for maintenance of certification with professional bodies. This will be noted in course overviews.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of every course you complete (except CQI Wave Education), along with a certificate indicating the number of hours of learning completed.
How can I share my feedback, ideas and suggestions about the Centre for People Development?
All learners are encouraged to provide feedback on the programs they attend. In addition, we welcome your ideas and suggestions about the Centre for People Development at any time. Feedback can be shared by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
