Mindful Self–Compassion for St. Peter’s Staff
Growing research suggests that practices of self-compassion are strongly linked to resilience, emotional wellbeing, decreased anxiety and stress, enhanced relationships, and maintenance of healthy self-care habits.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) can be characterized by three key components:
- – recognizing one’s own intrinsic strengths and caring for oneself in periods of stress and struggle.
Common humanity – cultivating awareness of our essential inter-relatedness.
Balanced, mindful awareness – developing our ability to connect to the present moment.
This course introduces participants to practical ideas and tools to reduce stress and improve well-being, even in the midst of the most challenging days!
