The Charge Role Development Program focuses on learning about and practicing key leadership behaviours that are necessary for individuals in a charge role. This program may complement unit-specific orientation in some instances. Topic areas for workshops and sessions include:

Objectives:

During this course you will:

  • Increase self-awareness and self-management

  • Enhance understanding about the behavioural expectations of being in a charge role

  • Broaden understanding about HHS beyond the unit level

  • Network and learn with and from others at HHS who are in a charge role position

 

Outcomes:

Each workshop and session has its own set of learning outcomes.

At the end of this you will be able to:

Create a Personal Ongoing Accountability and Development Plan to maximize this development experience and create intentional opportunity to engage with their manager in the follow-up

The design of this program is for learning to be as experiential as possible. Registrants:

  • complete self-assessments in Personality Dimensions and Conflict Resolution Style Preference

  • participate in small groups to work through activities and case studies

  • network with one another to learn from each other
