Healthcare Financial Management - Part 2: Understanding Case Costing - November 2019
Part 2 of this course will focus on understanding the MIS Guidelines that all Hospitals are required to use to report to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care in terms of their financial and activity related data (external reporting), how documentation and coding classify patients into categories for costing, and how patient level Case Costing occurs using the MIS Guidelines, Ontario Case Costing Guidelines (OCCI), fiscal hospital trial balance, health records coded and abstracted information, and the hospital’s patient care tracking systems.
