A day-long retreat that provides the opportunity to deepen your mindfulness practice, develop emotional resiliency through self reflection and develop effective strategies for self regulation and stress management.

One Day Silent Graduate Retreat for Mindfulness Practitioners

Target Audience:

All HHS Staff and Physicians with mindfulness meditation experience (must work in healthcare).

Course Description:

This retreat is designed to provide healthcare staff, physicians and leaders with prior mindfulness meditation experience an opportunity to deepen their meditation practice, and to restore, renew and learn with other members of the mindfulness community in Hamilton.

Please wear layers of loose and comfortable clothing, bring a shawl or blanket, yoga mat and indoor shoes or slippers.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this course you will be able to:

•Connect with other mindfulness practitioners in the healthcare community
•Develop emotional resiliency through self-reflection
•Exhibit effective strategies for self-regulation and stress management, including: advanced breathing exercises, seated meditation, therapeutic yoga and relaxation exercises

Special Course Features:

Registration begins at 8:30 am.  Coffee/tea/juice will be available upon arrival. Please wear layers of loose and comfortable clothing, bring a shawl or blanket, yoga mat, cushions/pillows for mediation, and indoor shoes or slippers.

Accreditation:

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION: Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 3.25 Category II credits for One Day Silent Retreat for Mindfulness Graduates toward their maintenance of certification requirement.
